Amateur DanceSport Circuit
OUR EVENTS:
Amateur DanceSport 2007/2008 Circuit DanceTeam USA presents the Amateur DanceSport Circuit, together with a Circuit of DanceSport Championships that will annually award scholarships to the Top Junior I, Junior II, Youth and Amateur Couples in the Latin and Standard Divisions. ALL SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDS WILL BE PRESENTED AT THE GRAND DANCESPORT CUP OCTOBER 19, 2008. We are joined by an innovative ranking system, instead of just focusing on one competition result we are equally stressing competition participation. The point system that we have created is consistent with our two goals: promoting competition participation and awarding the couples with the greatest combined competitive participation as well as competitive place standing throughout the year. The following is a list of Our 2007/2008 Events:
TOP TEACHER/STUDIO AWARD: We will award a TOP TEACHER/STUDIO at the Amateur DanceSport Circuit Awards Ceremony: so make sure your students list you as their teacher/studio on their competition entry forms!! SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS:
**Couples MUST participate in a minimum of 4 EVENTS to qualify for any Amateur DanceSport Circuit scholarship monies. **Couples participating in ALL 8 EVENTS will be awarded an additional 10% Point BONUS! **Couples participating in both the Latin and the Standard will accumulate points in BOTH Divisions. **Couples participating in two age categories will ONLY accumulate points in ONE age category. Couples dancing in two age categories MUST advise us WHICH AGE CATEGORY THEY WANT THEIR POINTS TO ACCUMULATE IN~ALL REQUESTS MUST BE MADE BY FEBRUARY 1st. **IDSF and USA Dance Regulations in regard to a couple’s age category will be followed~ it is based on your Year of Birth rather than your actual Birthday. **Couples accumulate points not the individual partners ~ in the case of a split of a partnership; points and number of participations WILL NOT be credited towards the new partnerships. **Any discrepancy in point accumulation must be reported to us within 30 days of the web posting of the event in question. **ALL WINNERS MUST BE PRESENT AND BE PARTICPATING IN THE GRAND FINAL; WHICH WILL BE HELD AT THE GRAND DANCESPORT CUP OCTOBER 19, 2008 IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR ANY AMATEUR DANCESPORT CIRCUIT SCHOLARSHIP MONIES. |
